December in Lagos: Book Your Hotel Early

From September to December, the "ember months", Lagos fills up. Families come home, friends and relatives fly in, and the festive calendar of concerts, weddings, parties and reunions gets busy. The peak, often called Detty December, usually runs from mid-December into the first days of January. Hotels fill early, and rooms booked late cost more and give you less choice.
